People often ask why The Community
Hospice Foundation was created.
Shortly after we lost our first patient, an unexpected check
arrived in the mail from the family. A note accompanying the
check let us know that the check was intended to be a gift, a
way of thanking the caregivers of Community Homecare and
Hospice for their tender care and loving spirit.
Of course, we were honored and we felt strongly that the best
use of this gift would be to help other patients and families
through difficult times. The foundation was created and
continues to grow and serve those families in need.

Executive Director
Community Home Care & Hospice is the largest hospice provider in the Carolinas. Founded in 1995, by Carrolton Management Company under the direction of C. Saunders Roberson, Jr., the corporation has expanded. This rapid growth has occurred due to the mission to serve the underserved; to maintain admissions and response on a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week basis; and, to provide professional care with personal concern, as every patient we care for stays in our hearts.
As the charitable, fundraising wing of Community Home Care and Hospice, Community Hospice Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization. The Foundation is staffed by professionals and is governed by a volunteer board of trustees, who establish yearly funding priorities and long-term strategic goals for growth.
The foundation supports and contributes throughout the Carolinas in regions where Community Home Care and Hospice provides care.
